What makes an education at Victory unique?
Victory Christian School’s uniqueness centers on its commitment to a Christ-centered, spirit-filled, word of faith, college preparatory education that desires to partner with your family. We are purposeful in our desire to integrate academics with a Biblical Worldview in an environment where the gifts of the spirit are encouraged. VCS is an academic institution committed to graduating students that are prepared to be successful at the college level. Finally, it is our desire to be a school that partners with families to train, prepare, and equip this generation with a desire to seek spiritual and academic excellence.
Is Victory Christian School accredited?
Victory Christian School is fully accredited by the State of Oklahoma through the International
Christian Accrediting Association (ICAA) and AdvancEd, a worldwide organization tasked with the accreditation of public and private schools. ICAA is recognized by the State of Oklahoma for state accreditation through the Oklahoma Private School Accreditation Commission and is also approved for full membership in the National Council for Private School Accreditation (NCPSA), a national consortium for the recognition of qualifying private school accrediting associations in the United States.
Are the teaching faculty at Victory Christian School certified?
Though not required, a large majority of our teachers are certified in various areas by the Oklahoma State Department of Education. Those who have not yet received certification have a four-year college degree, and are eligible and required to move towards certification within their 1st year of employment.
What is the current enrollment at Victory Christian School?
The current enrollment stands at over 1100 students in grades Pre-K through 12th.
These enrollment numbers represent approximately 850 families.
What is the current Faculty-Student ratio?
The current faculty to student ratio varies depending on the grade level. The lower school ratio is 12:1 and the Upper School ratio is 17:1.
What tests are used to determine yearly academic growth at Victory Christian School?
Victory uses the Renaissance assessment in Kindergarten through 2nd grade. Grades 3-10 assess growth and readiness using the ACT-Aspire. Finally, growth in the 11th and 12th grade is determined by the PSAT, SAT, and ACT. The ACT-Aspire, the PSAT, SAT, and the ACT are normed both nationally and with both public and private schools. This allows our stakeholders to have a great deal of comparative data to evaluate student growth and progress.
What percentage of Victory Christian School students attend college?
Victory Christian School, over the last 5 years, has had an average of 96% of their graduates attend college or university. The remaining 4% have chosen technical training or military service before attending college.
How does Victory Christian School assist students in college placement?
Victory Christian School works diligently each year to provide on-campus presentations and print material from a wide range of private and public universities throughout the United States. We also have a College and Career Advisor whose primary responsibility is to educate our parents and students in the areas of College Financial Aid, completing specific college applications, getting quality recommendations, completion of the Common App and transcript procurement. Over the last four years we have at least 20 universities visit each year, The total over the last four years represent more than 55 colleges and universities from throughout the United States that have visited our VCS campus. In addition, the Class of 2019 had students accepted to more than 80 different universities across the United States and around the world. They also were awarded $3.2 million in scholarships for their Freshman year with total $5.9 over the full 4 years.
Will VCS provide opportunities for my student to earn college credit while still in High School?
Absolutely! Victory Christian School provides students several ways to earn college credit while in High School. Students can earn college credit through concurrent classes at various local colleges, as well as through various AP courses offered on campus and online.
How often do Victory Christian School Students attend chapel and Bible class?
All Lower School students(K3-4th) have a daily Bible class. All Middle School (5th-8th) and Upper School (9th-12th) students follow the block schedule and have Bible class every other day.
Will my child fit in at Victory Christian School if they do not attend Victory Church?
Victory Christian School has a diverse student population. Over the years, VCS has had over 160 northeastern Oklahoma congregations represented within our student body. We love our new families, and historically new students have acclimated to the Victory culture and quickly made new friends.
What would be the best way for my child to experience Victory Christian School?
We encourage prospective students to schedule a “Shadow Day” with our Admissions Department. When a prospective student “shadows” at Victory Christian School, they arrive in the morning and are introduced to a Victory Student Ambassador. This student will be their guide throughout the school day. An opportunity to “shadow” will provide students with a chance to meet, observe, and interact with faculty and other students while experiencing how VCS functions.
What precautions are being taken to keep VCS students safe?
Safety is the number one priority at Victory Christian School. Victory Church and Victory Christian School employ a 24 hour/seven day a week certified security detail. In addition, throughout the building over 200 cameras monitor movements of our students, staff, and visitors both inside and outside the facility. All entrances are locked down or under constant supervision from 7:30 am until 3:30 pm 5 days a week. Prop alarms are connected to all doors. All visitors are required to check in at the main school office and obtain an identification badge. Victory regularly monitors the effectiveness of its security measures and consistently upgrades areas of concern in order to keep all people on our campus safe.
What is the testing procedure for students applying for admission to Victory Christian School?
There is no testing requirement for admission to Victory Christian School. It is possible that a leveling exam may be required to determine the appropriate academic placement.
What is Victory Christian School’s philosophy on homework?
Homework is an important component of the VCS experience. At VCS, we expect teachers to teach the material, and then assist with a guided practice session in the classroom. From that point forward, we believe that age-appropriate homework provides an excellent opportunity for parents to partner with the school and engage with their child in the learning experience. Part of being successful at VCS includes a commitment to this portion of the educational experience.
What part do fine arts play in the Victory experience?
The arts are a priority at Victory Christian School. The VCS art program has won hundreds of statewide and national contests. In addition, several Victory students have had their artwork displayed at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Students also have the opportunity to participate in Band, Choir and Drama classes throughout their Upper and Lower school experience. The VCS band program continues to be the only private school band program to receive the coveted OSSAA sweepstakes award for band excellence.
Is Victory Christian School a member of the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association?
Yes, VCS became an OSSAA member school effective at the beginning of the 1996-97 school year.
How will a transfer to Victory Christian School affect my student-athletes eligibility?
According to OSSAA rules, high school transfer students are ineligible for varsity competition for a period of 365 days after transferring to a new school. During that time, students are eligible to compete at or below the junior varsity level. Only students that move into, or currently live in our school district would be immediately eligible after a 15-day transfer window mandated by the OSSAA for varsity level competition.

What athletic opportunities are available to student-athletes enrolled at Victory Christian School?
Secondary sports offered are football, basketball, baseball, soccer, cross country, track, golf, tennis, fast-pitch softball, volleyball, wrestling and cheerleading. Elementary sports include football, basketball, baseball, volleyball, wrestling and cheerleading. At VCS our intent is to cultivate student-athletes that will consistently compete for championships. Our student-athletes have won various team and individual state championships in both athletics and academics.
What other extra-curricular clubs and activities are offered at Victory Christian School?
It is widely encouraged for all VCS students to participate in one or several of the following extra-curricular offerings; National Honor Society, Student Government, Chaplain’s Council, International Club, Academic Team, Math Club, Law Club, Global Ambassadors, VCS Worship, IMPACT, Victory’s prayer and worship team, Math Counts, Pre-Med Society, Blue Crew, Victory’s student spirit squad, DECA, Photography Club, Key Club among several others.
