Recently junior high students at Victory Christian School were asked to respond to the question, "What does Victory Christian School mean to you." One writes,
"The vision of Victory Christian School to me, at first was a flaky idea. Now, Victory Christian School means a lot to me. It is a place where I can minister freely. I can share my heart and relate with the same problems as my peers--problems such as rejection, anger, depression and many other things.
Victory is like a launching pad. I learn discipline here. I should be disciplined in my homelife and at school, but most importantly, being disciplined in doing what God tells me to do.
The vision of VCS is to train me up in the ways of the Lord, so I can take the Gospel of Jesus all over the world. I have to make a commitment in my heart to fulfill this vision.
The school is training me up in the Word of God. When I grow up, this is how life will be. Responsibilities are a main part, and that is one thing that they are teaching me here."
Another student writes,
“Victory Christian School is the best Christian school that I have ever been to. I've been in Christian schools my whole life. Yet, VCS is a place where I can be free to worship God, and put God first in my life.
I think that all the teachers hear from the Lord, and can mix teaching with the Word. When you find a school like VCS, it's so much easier to study and be successful in things. I'm proud to tell people that I attend Victory Christian School. I feel that if I have a problem, I can go to a teacher or someone in the school to talk.
I thank God that I get to attend such a wonderful school like VCS. God knows what kind of life we will live, and what kind of job we will do: I know that here I can find out what kind of life He wants me to have, and it will be a great one!
It's great to be able to walk into a chapel service, or Bible class and be filled up with the Word of God, and then take the Word we have and share it with other people that are not as spiritually knowledgeable as we are. I know that sometimes I take for granted that I attend such a wonderful school, but deep in my heart I know that God wants me at Victory.”

In our High School we intend to teach our young people in such a fashion that they will be equipped to take the ministry of Jesus Christ into every man's world; they will know the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, and be trained to use the Word of God with great authority, so that in whatever task they are called to do, they will have "great success."
We believe that God is placing a definite call upon the lives of young people to become involved at Victory, where, guided by a committed teaching staff, these young people will achieve at their greatest maximum potential.
At Victory, students have an opportunity to achieve at the highest level and learn traits such as "honesty is the best policy", "a job worth doing is worth doing well", "learning to love hard work", "respect for authority", "obedience that is willful and immediate", "doing right because it is the right thing to do". Our goal is to train habits of orderliness, carefulness, alertness, accomplishment, cooperation, faithfulness, perseverance, confidence, fairness, neatness, patience, judgment, loyalty to and love for God, family, and country. These are qualities of strong leaders.
Upon completion of Grade 12, the students have been taught the qualities of life from a spiritual and an academic viewpoint. Graduates are equipped for the college of their choice or to enter their respective careers, to be a witness for Christ in the world of their own influence. |

AP Biology
NOT OFFERED AT THIS TIME The AP Biology course is designed to be the equivalent of a two-semester college introductory biology course usually taken by biology majors during their first year. After showing themselves to be qualified on the AP examination, some students, as college freshmen, are permitted to undertake upper-level courses in biology or to register for courses for which biology is a prerequisite. Other students may have fulfilled a basic requirement for a laboratory-science course and will be able to undertake other courses to pursue their majors.
AP Biology differs from high school biology with respect to the kind of textbook used, the range and depth of topics covered, the kind of laboratory work done by students and the time and effort required of students.
The AP biology course is designed to provide students with the conceptual framework, factual knowledge and analytical skills necessary to deal critically with the rapidly changing science of biology.

AP Calculus
AP Calculus is primarily concerned with developing the students’ understanding of the concepts of calculus and providing experience with its methods and applications. The courses emphasize a multirepresentational approach to calculus, with concepts, results, and problems being expressed graphically, numerically, analytically, and verbally. The connections among these representations also are important.
An AP course in calculus consists of a full high school academic year of work that is comparable to calculus courses in colleges and universities. It is expected that students who take an AP course in calculus will seek college credit, college placement, or both, from institutions of higher learning. |

Concurrent Enrollment |
|
|
|
|
|
High school students are expected to be enrolled as full-time students. This is defined by the Oklahoma Department of Education as a six-hour day. Victory divides its six hours into seven instructional periods, each 45 minutes in length with a 6 minute passing period. The instructional day does not include the lunch period. Seniors who qualify may enroll in college courses and vocational technical schools under concurrent enrollment programs. The school reserves the right to change the length of periods or passing times.
High school juniors and seniors may enroll in college credit courses while attending high school if they meet the following requirements:
· Must have taken either the ACT or SAT.
· Must be eligible to complete graduation requirements including curricular requirements for college admission by the end of the spring semester.
· ACT or SAT scores must be at or above the 90th percentile. An ACT score of 19 is needed to TCC.
· Must meet the admission requirements of the college. This includes having taken either the ACT or SAT.
Students who meet these requirements may enroll at the college of their choice. They are responsible for registration, fees, books, and transportation.
A student must enroll in a combined number of high school and college courses equal to a workload of at least eighteen (18), but not more than nineteen (19) semester credit hours. For purposes of calculating workload, one (1) high school course will be equivalent to three (3) semester credit hours of college work. Travel time necessary to participate in concurrent enrollment may be counted. A student may enroll in a maximum of nine (9) semester credit hours during a summer session or term at a college or university.
Seniors who are enrolled in only one 3-credit college course must be enrolled in no less than four periods in Victory Christian School. All concurrently enrolled students must provide evidence they have been accepted and are enrolled in college courses. Only those courses taken for college credit will be accepted in meeting the six hour (eighteen semester credit hours) state attendance requirement.
Students who drop concurrently enrolled courses will be required to re-enroll in courses at VCS. Students must submit a copy of their concurrent transcript immediately following completion of their course. No tuition discounts are allowed for concurrent enrollment. Students will be charged the full tuition amount.
Vocational Enrollment. (See also: Concurrent Enrollment) A student enrolled in a three-credit vocational course may earn one-half VCS unit (credit) per semester. No tuition discounts are allowed for vocational students unless they meet the enrollment requirement stated in Concurrent Enrollment. Students will be charged the full tuition amount. Courses other than the approved vocational placement do not count towards VCS graduation. |
